Starry Rants 2: SonElise.

Ok...
Time for another rant. And let me just say. This conflict ends NOW.

Now as the title suggests, I will be talking about one of my fave Sonic couples, SonElise.
Are you expecting me to hate on the couple? NOPE!
I am defending it! Hell, more than that! I'm going to prove why hating SonElise is pointless!
Let us begin.

Topic 0: The Set Up.
Ok. We all know Sonic 06. And I think it's safe to say since the release of Sonic Boom Wii U, we've grown more fond of the game. I mean, some like it because they actually enjoyed it (myself included) Some think it's so bad it's good, or some still hate the game but deem another game worse than it. Well whether you like it or hate it, Sonic 06 has something  that is considered to be one of the most controversial topics in Sonic's recent history. Something that I of course will be addressing today.

The relationship between Sonic and Princess Elise the III.

Now, since this game's release, the reception towards these two main characters within the game is something that made the ground shake and oceans churn and boil with the rage of fans, or it made flowers among endless emerald coloured plains bloom. It depends on how you view it.

The relationship these two share throughout the game is borderline romance material. This has created many views on what people think. Including:

• Oh My God! is this Beastiality?! What the Hell have SEGA done?! They've killed Sonic!
• Aww! That's so cute! Sonic looks so embarrassed! 
• Don't touch it! *switches to Shadow's story* 
• Amy: SONIIIIIIIIC!!!! 
• Ummm....
• It's no use! *abandons franchise*

Anyways, later on after the games' release, the couple SonElise was born. 
And while I'm not sure what happened over the years...I can say that it involves a lot of violence.

This couple has done so much wrong to Sonic fans. Friends have been disowned and judged simply for liking it. LIKING IT.
That's how immature the haters can be. And that's why today I'm fighting for the oppressed Sonic fans who are bullied for this couple. I'm going to show just how stupid and pointless hating this couple is and how everything everyone believes about it is officially WRONG.

Let's do this!

Topic 1: The Princess of Soleanna.

Princess Elise is one of the main characters of this game. For those of you who are unaware, she is the ruler of the Kingdom of Soleanna. A kingdom of Water, Sun and Advanced Technology. She is also one of the main reasons this game is hated so much. As is the game the reason why SHE is hated so much. Now...there are immensely stupid fans out there who hate Elise simply for being in a bad Sonic game. WOW. Real mature guys. Really. But that's not the worst. We have MUCH more to go through.

Anyways, continuing off, Elise is hated for many reasons in this game as she is a creepy perverted princess with a fetish for hedgehogs and cares nothing about her kingdom and only for herself and Sonic. 

Wait...Is this a different character we're talking about? Because I'm pretty darn sure this isn't Elise. She's a kind-hearted and sweet young princess who's had a rough time in life. 

The former description I explained is what the Haters choose to view her as. It is NOT in any way her official character.
HOWEVER that's what many MATURE people out there like to view her as also. Either as most of the description, or it's entirety.
Anyways, one of the most unfair and harshest things about this is that it proves that Haters ignore every last detail about her whole character. Which brings me to my next topic.

Topic 2: Elise's Story.
Now, Princess Elise is NOTHING like the haters say. Let me go over her entire back story first. This will be relevant later on.

{Part 1: Her Childhood.}
Princess Elise III was born inside the now Old Soleanna Castle. Her mother passed away at birth and for many years her father, the Duke of Soleanna, had been working on Project Solaris. A project in which he would rip apart and study their own Sun God, Solaris, in order to gain mankind the ability to time travel so humanity can "Rectify Past Mistakes and Avoid Bitter Fate". Elise's childhood days are unknown. However at the age of 7, The Solaris Project went horribly wrong and Elise' father was fatally injured. Thanks to the efforts of future heroes, Shadow and Silver, the 2 separated entities of Solaris, Iblis (The power) and Mephilles (The mind) were captured and sealed away, Mephiles was sealed by Shadow within an Artifact known as the Scepter of Darkness. While Iblis was sealed into Elise's own body by her father. With his dying breath, he asked Elise to promise him "To become a strong queen who doesn't cry. No matter what happens. And live...happily..." before finally collapsing and dying on the spot. Silver takes Elise outside the castle where Shadow is waiting. As they leave the young princess and the Scepter of Darkness under a tree alone, they create a portal back to the future. Just as Shadow leaves, Silver hears Elise murmuring the word, "Father..." Feeling sorry for the now orphan princess, Silver leaves the Blue Chaos Emerald with her as a lucky charm. (NO I will NOT discuss the Chaos Emerald Paradox. And besides, that scene was kinda sweet. ) Then departs for the future just as Elise awakens.

In case you didn't read or understand any of that, let me simplify this for you.

• Her mother died at birth.
• She lost her father in a tragic accident during her childhood.
• Was given the responsibilities of carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders at a young age.
• Was forbidden to cry or else the world would end.
• And was left alone amidst the cold outdoors with nobody to care for or help her while bearing the great sadness and thought that both her parents are now dead. 

People hate a character with a back story THIS sad?
Would you haters care to find an excuse to continue hating her.
Because this sure as hell isn't making you all look like saints.
What's that? She's 'in love' with a hedgehog? Have you ever thought about WHY she does? 
Which brings me back to the next part of her story.

{Part 2: Her Adventure with Sonic.}

Due to her new duties as the Guardian of Iblis and the Ruler of her Kingdom, Elise found it difficult to ever be happy again. Her life was most likely tougher from the loss of her father onwards. She wore a smile as a mask to fake her happiness and found it hard not to cry though she wished she could very much. She however remained strong for so many years and ruled her kingdom. At the age of 17 her whole life would change.

You should all know what happens as this is when Sonic 06 begins. The kingdom is celebrating the Festival of the Sun, Eggman shows up to kidnap Elise, Sonic comes in like a badass and reminds everyone how awesome he is (And to people who are playing the game ffor the first time setting them up to be probably dissappointed), Sonic takes Elise to safety while Eggman gives chase while Silver watches eating pop tarts not ready for Amy to mistake him for Sonic and inexplicably make it onto that roof to hug him, Eggman captures Elise for the 1st time and Sonic sets out the next morning to save her.

As the adventure goes on Sonic manages to rescue Elise (several times) and he and the princess attempt to avoid Eggman's forces. Elise became seemingly closer and closer to Sonic the longer they spent time together. She began to feel less like a princess and felt like a normal girl again when she was with him. Even though her kingdom is on the brink of disaster she was still able to enjoy herself on this adventure with the blue blur. And it was these things that made her harbour romantic feelings towards him. Sonic gave her happiness, freedom and excitement in a life where she was essentially a stoic toy doll. And considering how depressing her past was it would make sense for her to develop an emotional connection with him. She learns to trust and have faith in him fast too. As shown when she steps off of Eggman's Egg Mobile and Sonic catches her, believing that no matter what danger she was in, Sonic would always be there to save her.

Sounds sweet huh? Well, I'll cover more as to why fans hate her later. 
But first, we must end her story.

{Part 3: A Reluctant Farewell.}
At the end of the game, when Sonic and Elise head back to the time period when Solaris was a tiny flame, Elise is reluctant to blow out the flame as the games events will be erased and Sonic and her will have never met. Devestated that the person that gave her a reason to truly smile would be taken out of her life, she cries out how she doesn't care what happens to the world and breaks down crying. Sonic, knowing that this needs to be done to truly save the world, tells her to smile as he had many times throughout their adventure. She sorrowfully does so and blows out the flame. 

And of course, time resets and the game goes back to the Festival of the Sun when the game started. Sonic and Elise (mostly Sonic) appear to somehow remember everything and they both go on to enjoy the festival.

Now...let's get to what REALLY gets to me...

Topic 3: BEASTIALITY and how haters see Elise.

OH MY GOD THIS IS RETARDED.
Haters seem to think Sonic and Elise being together as beastiality.
Ok....HAVE YOU IDIOTS EVEN DONE YOUR RESEARCH?!!
Well GUESS WHAT!? I DID!!

Ladies and gentlemen! Haters and trolls! I present to you the true meaning of Beastiality! The following is from Wikipedia and is not owned by me.

Now tell me...WHERE in the game AT ALL is there ANY sign of SEXUAL ACTIVITY between SONIC AND ELISE?!
The times they hugged? CLEARLY NOT! The time where Elise bandaged Sonic's arm? NOPE! Elise's compliments toward Sonic? If you actually believe that's a good enough reason to call it beastiality then congrats! You skip school and don't get out enough!

Ohhhh I know...I know what it is...

It's THAT scene.

What scene? Everyone who has played and completed Sonic 06 should know what this scene is and how it's made the game infamous. The scene that scarred thousands of fans for so long and possibly for life. The scene that people use to support their claims.

I'm not even going to explain it.

(P.S. If you wonder why Amy does not freak out over Elise kissing Sonic, if you stop at the time 0:06 she is praying alongside Elise. Her eyes are shut so she cannot see what is transpiring. P.P.S. On that same time Eggman is praying too! ((I think)) X3)
So yes...SEGA went that far with this relationship. And I understand why fans were uncomfortable with this scene, however...need I point out that there are 2 types of kissing. 
Lips to Lips and Tongue to Tongue.
Let's all be realistic here. What kind of kiss do you think that was? Hell, what kind of kiss did that look like?
I can certainly say that was not a tongue kiss. And I'm pretty damn sure SEGA didn't make that scene with a tongue kiss in mind either.
That was without out a doubt, clear as day, white as snow, sharp as a knife, as transparent as glass, and as soft as the feeling of two lips pressing against one another, a lip to lip kiss. 

I DARE anybody to try and find an excuse to support their beastiality claims now. (:<

BEASTIALITY!?! HA!! WHAT ABSOLUTE BULL!! HOW CAN YOU ACCUSE SEGA OF THIS IF YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THE BASIC MEANING OF THE WORD?! HELL!! THERE EXIST REAL PEOPLE IN REALITY WHO WANT TO PARTAKE IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY WITH SONIC!! AND ELISE HASN'T ATTEMPTED ONCE OR IMPLIED AT ALL SHE WANTED TO DO THAT WITH HIM!! WHAT ARE YOU ALL GOING ON ABOUT?!?!?!?!?! AND ANOTHER THING, WHAT ABOUT OTHER CROSS SPECIES SHIPPINGS IN FICTION?! THEY GET A FREE PASS WHILE THIS ONE DOESN'T?! 
It's time to apologize haters! To all you have wronged! The friends you have rejected! The fans you have bullied! And to SEGA for this accusation! (Hell, you've gone so far already that they themselves have accepted it as fact. Congratulations! You've made the world dumber!) I know I am sounding like an a**hole right now but these Haters have done SO MUCH wrong at this point that they deserve it. And also, when Elise refuses the blow out the flame and states she doesn't care what happens to the world, people think she is selfish and only cares about herself!
JUST. SHUT. UP.
If you were in a same position as this, you wouldn't want to let Sonic go either! But you'd have to do it! 
Now before I get a load of death threats and hate comments, I'd like to talk about one last topic. One final question in order to uncover the truth behind SonElise and avoid a Deviant Art war.

{Final Topic: Does Sonic Love Elise Back?}
Answer: No. He doesn't.

Your all probably confused seeing as I am a SonElise fan too. And some of you are probably saying 'But Sonic is so nice to her! How can he not love her?!'
Let me explain Sonic's feelings towards female characters in his universe.
Now, when it comes to traveling with girls or hanging out with them, Sonic treats them all nicely. He does sweet things for them and makes them feel truly special. This is what makes many female Sonic fans or females within his games develop a crush on him.  
With Amy, Sonic is nervous around her due to her obsessive love for him. So Sonic finds it difficult to be like he is around other girls with her. With other females however, they are more calm and collected, making it easy for Sonic to act normal around them. 
Also, does anyone remember that Sonic is a free spirit? He's not interested in having a girlfriend. It's one of the main aspects of his character. If he had a girlfriend he wouldn't be able to live life like he loves to unless the girl is a lot like him. He's sweet to girls because that's just who he is. He's a kind and sweet guy and his actions towards girls do not equate to him loving them. Heck, he's nice to everybody in this manner.
And according to Lacey Chabert, Elise's voice actress, she states in an interview when asked about the romance between Sonic And Elise that the two simply have an attachment for each other. Also, someone made a YouTube video describing what he thought were 7 Good things about Sonic 06 and he described Sonic and Elise's attachment as a Companionship.
THAT is by far the best way to see Sonic and Elise together! It's not really love or beastiality, they are just companions! Really close friends who can't be without each other! This explains why Sonic seemingly cries when Elise dies on the Egg Carrier and it sums up Elise's love and joy for being with Sonic perfectly!

Sonic and Elise are close companions split apart by the waves of time. Who knows if they will meet again? Well...We can only dream I guess.

As for the haters or those who dislike the couple. Here is my last statement to you on this.
You don't have to hate this couple for reasons that aren't true. Just forget it exists and move on. Sonic 06's time has past and nobody needs to think about it anymore. Why did I? Because some people just cannot let go of the past. They couldn't sit idly by and blissfully forget. No, they had to hate on fans of the couple simply because they see their point of view as fact and want to feel successful about something in the miserable lives they lead. They wanted the world to see how bad they thought the couple was. Even though it clearly wasn't as bad as we all thought it was. Friends of mine have been bullied and abandoned because of this couple's reception. And I cannot stand to see that over such stupid reasons. 

Just STOP CARING ABOUT IT.

SonElise doesn't need to be hated anymore. Let it go and move on. Fans of the couple can enjoy it for as long as they want while fans who do not like the couple can simply ignore it and do their own things with their lives. 

The conflict between the haters and shippers of this couple ends NOW.

Haters, just move on and never turn back.

And SonElise fans...well, just smile.
